Join us as we study our series, “Holy Spirit Empowerment.”
This series shows that the Holy Spirit is the key person in our spiritual lives, and His power is enough to enable us to live according to and do God’s will.
This is the year of Holy Spirit Empowerment.
“But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” – Acts 1:8
“1When the day of Pentecost came, they were all together in one place. 2Suddenly a sound like the blowing of a violent wind came from heaven and filled the whole house where they were sitting. 3They saw what seemed to be tongues of fire that separated and came to rest on each of them. 4All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit enabled them.” – Acts 2:2-4
God is a giving God. He pulls from the unsearchable, limitless resources of His glory to give us strength or power in our inner being through the Holy Spirit. So live victoriously in this life by God’s grace —being empowered to accomplish God’s purposes through the Holy Spirit and living in the fullness of God.
- Hebrew ‘Gimmel ‘carries meaning at its root of abundance, and so as we are abundantly full of the Holy Spirit, we, too, can speak in tongues.
- 2 Peter 1:2, Holy men of God spoke [prophecy] as the Holy Spirit moved them.
- Prophecy and tongues come as we are full of His Spirit and presence seeking Him.
- We need the Holy Spirit in our mouths, and may we seek Him in the year ahead. Seek to be full afresh with Him so that He may also use us and come through us to the people around us.
